Story

Events of Curse of Darkness

Julia lived far away from common folk, in the Baljhet Mountains, where she came across a mysterious man who went by the name of Hector. She asked him if she could be of service, and the man asked what she was doing in such an unusual place. Julia wanted to know what he himself was doing there first and Hector explained that he was searching for someone who wore the same crest he did. She knew that he was talking about Isaac, but didn't want to reveal that notion until she had heard if he was Hector's friend or foe. Hector said that Isaac was his most bitter enemy, which convinced Julia to help. Although she loved her brother, she couldn't bear watching him succumb to the insanity that had befallen him. Because Hector was a Devil Forgemaster, she offered to keep his little friends safe if that was needed. Before taking leave, Julia directed him to her house where she would prepare elixirs and other helpful goods that would surely aid him during his quest.

Hector would catch up with her brother in the town of Cordova where they would cross swords. Julia quickly interfered and pleaded her brother to stop. Isaac accepted because he was merely testing how much power his former friend had regained and then he fled. Hector was outraged and accused her of siding with Isaac. She responded that she truly wanted Isaac to be stopped, though Hector still lacked the strength and spirit to do so. Julia explained that her brother was in the grip of Dracula's curse and that only Hector could free him from it because of their past together. Hector understood and apologised, he then was about to set off and promised to do what he could.

They would meet up again after Hector accidentally revived Dracula's castle from the depths. She wondered if Dracula was still present in the castle because she could feel that the curse that was unleashed three years ago still emanated from it. Hector explained that this was most likely the remains of the vampire's magic. He might be able to find the source and negate the curse. Julia warned him to make haste because if the castle was fully resurrected it was possible that Dracula had also been revived. The Devil Forgemaster thought of calling Trevor Belmont to aid them, but Julia said that he was suffering from a terrible injury inflicted upon him by Isaac. She was barely able to save his life, and it was still hanging by a thread. Julia warned Hector one final time not to be taken over by Dracula's magic; she was certain that Rosalee wouldn't have wanted him to pay such a price for his revenge.

When the battle was over, Julia appeared once more and convinced Hector to remain among the living. She said her goodbyes to Isaac who had deceased, and the two then left the crumbling castle. They watched from a safe location as the castle disappeared. Hector had doubts that the curse would be fully lifted, but Julia believed otherwise. People's hope lay with one another and their scars would fade in time and be lost to memory. Julia invited Hector to stay with her in the Baljhet Mountains, where he could conceal his many devils from normal folk. He gladly accepted.
