Events of Dracula's Curse

Dracula started his war against humanity and sent his legions to seize the entire continent of Europe. An underground movement was established in the town of Warikiya and the rebels covertly plotted to overthrow Count Dracula. However their forces were no match for Dracula's powers. The vampire turned some of them into hideous demons as a punishment for opposing him and Grant was among them.

Grant was locked away in the Castle's Clocktower where he was forced to slaughter any intruder, as his mind was twisted as well and he no longer was able to control his own actions. When Grant waited for opponents to show up, he was surprised to see a lone vampire hunter who managed to reach the top on his own. Grant wasted no time and assaulted him, but eventually found himself defeated and changed back to his normal body and mind. Grant introduced himself and told the man how his village was destroyed by Dracula's legions. He asked vampire hunter to let him join him on his quest and the man known as Trevor Belmont accepted this. Together, they escaped from the Clocktower and into the forest.

After trudging through the forest, the two fought a cyclops in a clearing that had several statues in it. Defeating the cyclops made one of the statues come to life. The person introduced himself as Sypha Belnades, a vampire hunter hidden in robes, and thanked Grant and Trevor for freeing him. He then asked to join the two in their quest to slay Dracula. Trevor accepted, and they continued toward Dracula's Castle.

The three went through many other obstacles and formidable enemies until they reached a tomb. Inside it, an undead man resided. He introduced himself as Alucard and said that he would like to join the group in their quest to slay the Vampire Lord.

With more might added to the already powerful group, the four pushed through Dracula's evil hordes until they reached Dracula himself. With much effort, the Vampire Lord was finally slain and peace was brought back to Transylvania and Europe. Because of Trevor's actions, the Belmonts gained legendary status, and were loved and allowed to live among the people once more.

While standing on a mount cliff watching Dracula's Castle crumble, both Grant and Trevor felt their friendship become stronger after they worked together to liberate Wallachia. Grant decided to lead the way in the rebuilding his beloved hometown and eventually all of Wallachia.

Events of Judgment

Note: The following events are from Castlevania Judgment and its canonical merits are uncertain.

During the three years that went by after Dracula's defeat, Grant became known as one of Wallachia's staunchest defenders, but also lost contact with Trevor. At the end of the war, Sypha revealed that she was in a fact a woman and Grant fell secretly in love with her but Trevor was the first to ask her hand in marriage, much to Grant's disappointment. Grant was unable to tell his best friend about this and eventually turned his back on both of them.

One day, Grant awoke from a strange vertigo to find himself in an unfamiliar place. Grant was approached by a stranger. He introduced himself as Aeon and welcomed him to a rift in time. Grant was confused by this revelation and asked what he was talking about. Aeon ignored his question and explained that this was the place where he may touch that which he desired the most. Yet, there were many trials he had to pass in order to achieve that goal. His first test was to defeat the time traveler, in which he succeeded.

Grant claiming to be Sypha's future husband.
Grant faced many opponents he never heard of, one of them was an enormous Golem who apparently had no intention of causing any harm. Grant then offhandedly asked him if he ever had been in love before but the creature had no idea what it was. The rogue then bitterly offered to show him what love truly was about and attacked and eventually defeated the Golem.

Much to Grant's shock, he came face to face with a seemingly younger Sypha who didn't seem to recognize him. Then he suddenly realized that she was from a time period where she hadn't met him and Trevor yet. Grant then claimed to be her future husband, much to Sypha's surprise. She then demanded that he proved it to her and they engaged in battle. After Grant turned out to be the victor he apologised for lying to her and quickly continued on his way.

Grant eventually encountered Trevor with whom he had a score to settle. The vampire hunter said that he and Sypha sorely missed him at their wedding. Grant then declared he couldn't stand to see her wed to someone else. He then realized that the reason why Grant avoided him and Sypha was because Grant thought that he was more deserving of her. Trevor asked Grant to show this and challenged him to a dual. After a satisfying victory over Trevor, Grant finally decided that he wished them a happy life together and finally got over his grief.

Aeon gained another soul key and came a step closer to his goal and Grant returned to his own time period to once again throw his body and soul into the revival of the ruined towns. Because of the deep scars that Dracula left on the country side it took Grant his entire lifetime to accomplish this and one day became known as a hero.
