Story

Events of Castlevania 64

He, like many adventures before him, traveled to Dracula's Castle in order to stop the Count after news was spread of his return. In an abandoned villa, he encountered two unknown figures. He suspected that they were vampires and rose his crucifix while warning them not to move a finger. After examination, he concluded that the two young individuals were human and no real threat. He then introduced himself to them and proudly proclaimed himself the mightiest vampire hunter. The two travelers, named Reinhardt Schneider and Carrie Fernandez, explained that they had come to the castle to put an end to Dracula. That did not impress the old man. He told them that Dracula was no match for an amateur vampire hunter and a little girl. Reinhardt calmly responded that vampires should not be taken taken lightly, but Carrie lost her temper and told the man not to speak of matters that didn't concern him. An offended Charlie called her an obstinate youth and then told her that he wouldn't give another warning. Reinhardt interfered and asked the man if he had the key to the archives, which the man confirmed. He had found it in the rose garden and gave it to them before taking off.

He traveled to the Castle Keep but soon found out that the two youths had arrived early and already defeated the Dark Lord. He saw them talking to a young boy that Charlie realised was up to no good. He threw a bottle of holy water at the child and it engulfed his flesh, which was just as the veteran vampire hunter expected. He told the two heroes that the boy was actually Dracula reborn and that his childlike appearance was only a trick. Dracula used his remaining power to transport Reinhardt and Carrie to a different realm where they continued their battle, leaving the old man alone and not able to participate in the fight. However, it was because of his instinct that all came to a good end.
