Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

ortrait of Ruin (PoR) is the second Castlevania video game for Nintendo's DS handheld gaming system. It was released in Japan on November 16th, 2006, under the title Akumajo Dracula: Gallery of Labyrinth. The game was available on North American shores on December 5th, 2006. The European audience had a prolonged wait with PoR reaching them on March 9th 2006.

Portrait of Ruin is remarkable for being the first Castlevania game to feature 2-player, cooperative game play, and the first handheld Castlevania to have English voice-overs. Like its DS predecessor, Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait utilizes the DS' Wi-fi for different co-op modes.

In commemoration of Castlevania's 20th anniversary, Konami included a special pre-order bonus with PoR that included a fold out poster of the Castlevania Timeline, a white game case made to hold Portrait of Ruin and Dawn of Sorrow, a compact disk with popular assorted Castlevania music, a Castlevania themed stylus, and 48-page Castlevania art book.
