ittle is known of this mysterious dark haired woman. She is a member of the Ecclesia organization. As such, her wish is for humans to be able to look toward dawn without fearing the darkness.
Now at 20 years-old, Shanoa has been a member of Ecclesia since a very young age, and has been highly trained in handling glyphs, symbols that represent the power within all things, from which she extracts supernatural energy. Her Master, Barlow, has groomed her so that she may one day destroy Dracula with Dominus, the ultimate glyph and Ecclesia's only hope of ridding the world of The Count.
Shanoa has the unique ability of absorbing glyphs onto her own body, making it so she is the only one able to use Dominus. During the ritual for Shanoa to accept Dominus, Albus, another member of Ecclesia, entered uninvited.
In his anger, he interrupted the ceremony, taking Dominus for himself, and escaped Ecclesia. This caused a detrimental accident resulting in the loss of Shanoa's memories and emotions.
In weeks' time, Barlowe teaches Shanoa Ecclesia's practices again, and sends her to find Albus and retrieve Dominus so that Ecclesia might realize its dream.

A young genius of 24 years. He is Ecclesia's Chief Researcher, and joined the Order at a young age. In time, he became Master Barlowe's most trusted assistant. During a mission, Albus decided to return to Ecclesia Headquarters where, to his surprise, the ritual for Dominus was about to take place. This was especially startling to him, as Barlowe promised Albus that he would be the bearer for Dominus. Instead, Shanoa was secretly chosen instead of him.
This enraged Albus. Though he knew Shanoa to be the only one able to use Dominus, he was confident that through his research, he would find a way to harness it and overcome his weakness. Albus interrupted the rite and took Dominus for himself, after which, he retreated.
Albus spent time away from his former home, Ecclesia, and examined Dominus. His studies led him to abduct the innocent people of Wygol Village for some unknown purpose.
Weeks after the event at Ecclesia Headquarters, he finds Shanoa, who has been sent by Barlowe to retrieve Dominus. He notices she isn't nearly as adept as she once was, and discovers that she lost her memories. Albus decides not to fight her, but leaves a trail for her to follow.
He leads Shanoa to various locales through out Transylvania. He continues looking for a way to harness the power of Dominus, with his enchanted glyph powered firearm, Agartha at his side.
Albus has a deep hatred of Barlowe, and cannot stand to hear his name. He vows to never return to the life he knew as a member of the Order of Ecclesia.

When the Belmonts disappeared, those in charge backed other organizations and clans to protect the world from Dracula. The most successful being Ecclesia, due to their secret art created by Barlowe. The art of Ecclesia is the manipulation of glyphs, symbols that represent the power within all things. Barlowe's continued research of glyphs culminated in the creation of the supreme glyph, Dominus. With Dominus, Barlowe felt he could destroy Count Dracula and make the wish of mankind a reality.
Barlowe originally promised this glyph to his trusted assistant, Albus, but knew the young man could not harness the glyph. He eventually did what he felt best, and bestowed the glyph to another disciple, Shanoa, who was the only one with the capability to use Dominus.
His plans went awry, as Albus interrupted the ceremony for Shanoa's acceptance of Dominus, and stole the glyph. Barlowe sends Shanoa to track down his former assistant, and waits patiently at Ecclesia Headquarters for news from her.

Father Nikolai

After receiving a holy message from God, Nikolai cleared the wasteland and planted the seeds of Wygol Village. He is a mild priest that cares deeply for all the inhabitants of the village, and is a constant source of encouragement and inspiration for them.

Jacob

A middle aged peddler that fit right in with the others from Wygol Village. He is grateful to Shanoa for rescuing him, but due to hard times, he cannot afford to give his goods away for free. He obtains some of his stock from other villagers.

Abram
Appearances:
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (18??)

26 year-old Abram was once a low-life crook, but found salvation through the Church, and now takes up honest work as a healer. He is known for his carefree and joking personality.
Abram wants to thank Shanoa for saving him by offering her remedies, but Albus stole all of his medicinal herbs to further his mystifying experiments. Abram asks Shanoa to find him certain ingredients so that he can make healing concoctions.

Laura

A voluptuous young jeweler who places her trust in the tarot. She ran away from her Master, who kept scrutinizing her and pointing out her faults. She followed the tarot cards, which told her that she would do great things in Wygol Village as well as finally meet her soul mate.
Laura tries her best to get through to Shanoa, and make her smile by crafting accessories out of the jewels that Shanoa brings her. She delights in bringing out Shanoa's more feminine side by getting her to look prettier. Laura says there is someone special in her life but doesn't elaborate.

Eugen

Though large and strong, Eugen is mild and quiet. His good faith led him to Wygol Village, where he used his carpentry skills to build homes. Now, he works the forge as a blacksmith.
He makes plate armor with ore that Shanoa brings him. He can tell that Shanoa is going through a great ordeal, and silently empathizes with her. Not one to pry, Eugen makes the armor, pays Shanoa for the materials, and leaves it at that.
Father Nikolai once saved Eugen's life. Eugen asked what he could do to pay the debt, and Nikolai told him something he never forgot. "Do what you can." Eugen has lived by those words since. He does what he can, where he is, with what he has.

Aeon

A chef with a false sense of confidence who says he can "Cook anything." Though Aeon tries to convince himself that he is an expert chef, he realizes that Shanoa is his only customer, and all the restaurants he's worked for went out of business.
He moved to Wygol due to fierce competition among chefs of the big city. As he continues to cook for Shanoa, he begins paying more attention to taste, and eventually regains confidence in himself.

Marcel

A news-hungry 38 year-old man that writes for a sports magazine. He heard rumors of bizarre creatures living near Wygol Village, and traveled there to investigate. He planned to run a story on Shanoa, but a higher up put a complete press ban on it.
Marcel told Shanoa that he'd lay off her story if she agreed to help him take pictures of unusual creatures. Shanoa agreed and brings photographs of exotic creatures that were thought to be myth. Due to the pictures, circulation of the magazine more than doubled. Despite that, Marcel was fired from his job, as his strange stories did not suit the vision of his higher ups. He decides to stay at Wygol Village, with plans of settling down with Laura, the jeweler.

George

A peculiar minstrel who is fascinated by the legend of Dracula. He came to Wygol Village because of the area's ties to Dracula and other creatures of darkness. The other villagers find his songs eerie and off putting. He records elegies and sinister odes on a phonograph, and sells the records at Jacob's general store.

Serge

This 10 year-old is the son of Irina and big brother of Anna. He looks after his little sister, who he views as a big crybaby. Even so, he cares for his family, and worries about their well being.
Serge never gets tired of playing games, like tag and hide'n'seek. He is the only one in the village who believes Albus may be a good guy, since Albus encouraged Serge to grow strong enough to protect his sister, Anna.

Anna

Irina's 8 year-old daughter and Serge's little sister. She is sensitive, and gifted with an awareness of the ethereal world. As a side effect, she is easily subjected to demonic possession. Her cat, Tom, protects her by warding off evil spirits. Anna asks for Shanoa's help when Tom falls ill due to defending the young girl.

Monica

A bright but shy teenager who lost both her parents. As such, the other villagers are like her family. Though she is warm hearted and a skilled seamstress, her confidence is a bit low. She asks Shanoa to bring her thread so that she may sew dresses to sell at the general store.

Irina

The mother of Serge and Anna. It was by happenstance that she arrived at Wygol, but something made her want to settle there and share her cuisine with the others. She has trouble sleeping at night, and admits that it is challenging raising two children alone, but when they smile, all of her worries disappear. There is nothing she'd rather be doing than living her life for her children.

Daniela
Appearances:
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (18??)

This 85 year-old woman suddenly appeared in Wygol one day as if she had lived there forever. She surprises the other villagers by being ignorant some days, and especially wise on others.
Daniela frequently talks about her grandfather, who she deeply cared for. She has fond memories of her grandfather taking her monster hunting. When she dies, she wants to be buried at Tristis Pass, where her grandfather rests. She used to train there with him, and that is where she mastered the secret family arts.
Daniela gives Shanoa a sketchbook so that she can draw pictures of scenery for her. Daniela always enjoys Shanoa's pictures, as they frequently remind her of her grandfather.
