Weapons
Vampire Killer
Simon's trusty whip and default weapon. It gets the job done, but is weak. You will be able to recover different weapons from stage 2 onwards, so keep your eyes peeled.
Morning Star
This vicious-looking upgrade packs much more punch than just the basic Vampire Killer. Grab it at the first opportunity and bash some skulls in!
Sword
A magnificent sword to slice and dice your way to your kidnapped beloved. This is the most powerful weapon you can get, enabling Simon to hack enemies asunder with great ease.
Sub-Weapons
Cherry Bomb
At the cost of one heart, Simon will lob this bomb a short distance. Effective against certain bosses in the game.
Stopwatch
Freezes enemies and bosses in their tracks. Carve a path to safety out of their unmoving undead bodies before time resumes.
Boomerang
Perhaps Simon isn't much of a boomerang enthusiast; despite being a boomerang this weapon just goes forward until it's off the screen. Effective for a long-range attack.
Crucifix
Sends a wave of crosses at enemies. An excellent long range attack, but Simon is left vulnerable to attack until they're offscreen.
Torch
Simon chucks a torch at the ground. Enemies that blunder over it will come away with some nasty burns.
Power-Ups and Magical Items
Heart
one heart to power sub-weapons.
Big Heart
Bestows five hearts.
