Special Option

This has two features. There is an Illustration Gallery by Ayami Kojima, which exhibits all her Castlevania work from Symphony of the Night and Chronicles, as well as an interview with the game's producer, IGA.

The Original Mode has a Sound Test. You do not even have to beat the game for it to appear. Select it from Original Mode's title screen to listen to the rocking tunes from this game whenever you want.

Time Attack

Complete Arrange Mode to unlock Time Attack Mode. This allows you to select whatever stage you want, and it will record the amount of time it takes you to complete a stage. Try to beat your scores!

Konami Code

On the first title screen, enter - up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, O, X, start - in that order to be taken to a hidden menu. It will let you to set the time in the game. This changes the time displayed on the Clock Tower's face and what season is shown in the large painting in the seventh stage exhibited in the hallway before Death. The X68000's internal clock would usually take care of this for the original release, but since Playstation does not have one, these settings can be set through this menu.

You can also adjust the HuD bar at the top to be solid or transparent. It is better to play this game with it set to transparent.
