Castlevania: Bloodlines Inventory

ere you will find complete lists for all of the items, equipment, et cetera found in Castlevania: Bloodlines.
Whips
The fabled weapon of the Belmont Clan that was given to the Morrises when the Belmonts disappeared. John Morris is its current keeper, and shoulders the heavy burden of responsibility that comes with the whip - keeping Dracula in the grave.
The Vampire Killer can be upgraded three times.
Leather Whip

This is the default form of Vampire Killer. It has short range and low attack power.
Chain Whip

This version has the same length as the Leather Whip, but has greater attack strength.
Morning Star

This has the same strength as the Chain Whip, but it grants John additional attack length.
Enchanted Whip

Powerful blue energy surges through Vampire Killer, giving it more length and attack strength than the Morning Star. If John suffers any damage while the whip is in this form, this upgrade will be taken away and the whip will regress back to the Morning Star.
Spears
The Alcarde Spear is Eric Lecarde's weapon of choice. It was forged by Dracula's son, Alucard, and given to the Lecardes to use against the forces of evil as they fight alongside the Morrises.
Spear

This is the base form of the Alcarde Spear. It isn't very powerful or long.
Axe-Head

This three pronged weapon has considerably more length and attack strength than the standard Spear.
Trident

This powerful javelin is about as long as the Axe Head, but is more effective at inflicting damage on foes.
Enchanted Trident

At its most powerful, the Alcarde spear has a sacred flame surrounding it similar to that caused by Holy Water. If Eric is hurt, the Alcarde spear will revert back to the Trident.
Sub-Weapons
No Vampire Hunter is complete without additional sub-weapons that compliment the main weapon and add a variety of attacks to their arsenal. The sub-weapons are activated by pressing C, and each time they're used, they consume Gems. To unleash a sub-weapon's special attack, press C and up simultaneously.
Holy Water

Crashing a vial of this blessed liquid on the ground will cause a sacred flame to sprout and burn the undead. The standard attack costs one Gem to use, and the special attack costs four.
Axe

This half moon axe is lobbed upward in an arcing motion to slash enemies at the cost of a Gem. Four Gems are needed to throw a trio of smaller axes directly ahead.
Boomerang

Replacing the familiar Cross Boomerang is this blade-like weapon. It is thrown forward and arcs back toward the direction it was thrown for one Gem. A loop of Boomerangs can be used at once for the cost of four Gems.
Mystic Crystal

This shining blue sphere for John Morris causes waves of energy that home in on foes and unrelentingly attack them until the energy dies out, or the foe perishes, whichever comes first. It costs eight Gems to use.
Spear Head

This strange artifact allows Eric to send energy rippling all throughout the area for the cost of eight hearts.
Power-Ups and Magical Items
Hidden in candles and environments are trinkets that can power sub-weapons, boost your main weapon's capability, add to point total, and more.
Morning Star

The usual whip power up has taken the image of a cross with two angel wings around it. Collect this to boost John Morris' whip to the next stage.
Coat of Arms

This acts exactly like the Morning Star, except it is exclusive to Eric and the Alcarde Spear.
Gem

This red jewel acts like a Small Heart from most other Castlevania games. These are what power sub-weapons.
Big Gem

This blue jewel is worth five red ones.
Invisibility Crystal

Collecting this orb will cause your hero to become impervious to enemy damage for a short period of time.
Pot Roast

A tasty meal that heals and nourishes your hero. It is well hidden in environments, so keep an eye out for it.
Mirror

Vampires hate mirrors. Use this item to banish all evil from the screen.
Money Bag

These bags of loot add to your point total. Collect enough points to earn an extra life.
1-Up

A rare treasure that adds an extra life to your stock.
Crystal

These are found after a boss guardian is destroyed. By obtaining these, all the evil inhabiting one of the landmarks on your adventure will be cleared away.
