Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge Items

ere you will find complete lists for all of the items, equipment, et cetera found in Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge.

Whip

Leather Whip

Like many other action platformer Castlevania games, this is the weakest version of the whip. It has short range and low attack power.

Chain Whip

A Magic Crystal can turn the Leather Whip into a steel chain-whip, which boosts attack power considerably.

Morning Star

Like in Castlevania: The Adventure, not only is the Morning Star extra long, but it also fires projectiles. Beware the Punaguchi's degenerating ball attack. It will send your whip upgrade back one level.

Sub-weapons

Holy Water

The Holy Water works the way it does in the NES Castlevania games, except it does not freeze enemies in place. When the bottle crashes to the floor, a stationary flame is released that continually strikes enemies.

Axe

This is found in the American version of Belmont's Revenge. Christopher throws a powerful axe in an upward arc for the cost of one heart.

Cross Boomerang

This is for the Japanese version and Konami GB Collection Volume 4 edition. At the price of one heart, Christopher can throw a cross straight ahead, and it will return to the point at which it was thrown.

Items and Power-Ups

Magic Crystal

This escalates the whip to the next power level. Two of them will raise the whip's power to its maximum.

Heart

These little items are found in candles and serve as ammunition for sub-weapons

Big Heart

These are worth five regular Hearts.

Coin

These treasures add to point total the same way as money bags in the NES games.

Pot Roast

Hidden within walls and hard to reach candles are these hardy meals. Search diligently to find them.

One-Up

It may not be a green mushroom, but it's just as good!

Crystal

Belmont's Revenge is unique in that collecting a Crystals does not complete a stage, but summons a boss.
