NGL, I didn't care for E3 until this. Now it can't get here fast enough! Sure hope those 2.5D Metroidvania rumors are true, coz that style's sorely missed. And to think a lot of us were sick of it pre-LOS.

My only worries are that this game will truly bid the classic timeline goodbye, as well as fail to make use of the 3DS' features in a fun/meaningful way (much like DOS' Magic Seal system).

Thank you for the link! I checked it out, and then the Dutch website. That sounds good so far. I wonder if they're also thinking about making a Castlevania-edition 3DS. That would be awesome!

Hi Nightwing! What does "NGL" mean? >_<

Yikes! I would also hope that they don't decide to bid the classic timeline goodbye. It would be too cruel to not make a game about the Demon Castle War!

I don't think they'll do that hopefully cuz I know I lose some interest in the series if that happens

As of right now, our last bastion of hope is Japan. The classic timeline's still alive there but it's being criminally underused and being made a horrid mockery of. Pachislot games, I'm looking at you.

"Not gonna lie." B) And as much you I share the sentiment, it's... really best if we hunker down and assume we'll never have it. Especially if the rumors about this Mirror of Fate being set in the LOS timeline are true.

Why do you think it's better to assume we'll never see a game about the Demon Castle War? It's too awesome to pass up!

Oh? The rumors say that Mirror of Fate is set in the Lords of Shadow timeline? All I read was "According to N1ntendo, the game will be called Mirror of Fate and will have two members of theLords of Shadow creative team on board: producer David Cox and writer/director Enric Alvarez."
Who knows? Maybe they'll try making a game that fits in the classic timeline.

Oh, thanks! I am so bad with acronyms. >_<

I don't see why they would try to make a game that fits in the original timeline after LoS. And yes, a game about the Demon Castle Wars would be great, but I doubt that David Cox will want to create something like that.
My favourite color is punching things in the face.

Well, looking at the page source code it says "CLOS Teaser Page", it is from Konami and the page description says "Dare to face the evil darkness? It is written that the creatures behind that door will return very soon to claim the souls of your loved ones, and send you straight to hell! Be aware!"

If I remember my PS I'll post a image (on my ipod, cleared pc cache :P)

Honestly, I really appreciate this article reminding me of how the problem with Castlevania has always been how un-adult it has been. David Cox and his team of raw, shadow-faced realists will rectify this by piling on the worldliness, grim, and grit that Castlevania has lacked. Just look at that skeleton on page 43. Fucking epic! And on the same page -- wow! I'm humbled. As an independent adult, I can say that that big, armored monster is the opposite of cartoony. Make way, IGA, and take your wimpy f****t heroes with you. It's time for Mercury Steam's elf mage paladin pirate to assume the throne.

I'm liking the designs especially Simon's also Trevor's portrait were he's facing forward looks like they took the design from his Curse of Darkness design
