I did beat this game and also some of the side games along with it. I thought it was actually pretty damn cool. I loved the environments and some elements of the game were pretty damn creepy. There were many parts of the game that were a pain in the ass to beat. Theres a golden room for example in Greed which was extremely annoying to get past. Anyways, overall although I haven't touched the game since I pretty much wore it out and beat it, I thought it was very challenging which I love, the music and surroundings were creepy, the concept was great, and I would say you can tell that this game was very thought out and it really just fit together perfectly. Though I am still one who loves the classic 2D games, I still enjoy some 3D titles and this is one of them.

Yeah I enjoyed it too. Only beat it once though. However, I could do without the wang of satan.

despite what many reviewers and acquaintances say about it, I genuinely liked Dante's Inferno. Just because he wasn't a crusader who used Death's scythe to defeat Satan and save his and his love's souls from damnation in the book (or real life) doesn't mean that the game is bad because of it (Hell I'll take the game over the book). The story and art to the game were nice and the gameplay, while it was very God of War-ish, at least they got it right. The only bad things I can say about it is that there needed to be a bit more enemy variety, and I was hoping for alternate endings to the game.

One of the reasons I really liked the game was because it basically felt like a 3d Castlevania game. Hell I wish LoS was anywhere near as good as Dante's Inferno was.
There's stuff to do and fun to have!

I can agree with you about the enemies. Most got pretty uniform and generic after a while. There really should have been more enemy variety in the game. The whole "Greed Demons have gold highlights and Gluttony Demons have green highlights" really was kind of silly. There really wasn't too much difference between some of the enemies other than colors. Also yes alternate endings would have been nice as well as the fact that the actual ending of the game doesn't leave the game really open for any type of sequel (although this may be a good thing). Yes there was the God of Warrish elements as well as some similar elements to a couple of other games. Overall, I would say the game certainly can put a game like Curse of Darkness to shame. Thats for sure.

The Dark powers/Light Powers and the Absolve/Punish options could have easily been used to open up different endings; like only being able to save Beatrice if you ONLY absolved everybody and if you ONLY used Light powers, or having to fight and kill her if you ONLY used punishment and Dark powers. It's really a shame that they didn't implement those features as in-depth as they could have.

I have to agree as well in regard to the lack of enemy variety. The new name/recolors are almost reminiscent of the older Final Fantasy games, only far worse.
Insert move quote/funny one-liner here.
