So anyway, recount your dental stories. How long ago was your last visit, what did you go in for, and how was the experience? You can talk about other history and related matters, as well.

Anyways, I really don't like the dentist, mainly because I have overly acidic saliva. The dentist once made me a nice chart showing me how awful my saliva is, its well above the average, and just slightly below having soda in my mouth forever. Basically, my saliva is eating my teeth away, and I always have cavities because of it. I used to be the worst possible kid for a dentist to have (seriously, he had an isolated, sound proof room and thats where I went) and it was always awful. Now I'm much more mature and I just play a game of keeping my mouth shut until the last possible moment. Keeps the bastards in line.

Though not dentist related, i did have to go see a doctor in Hong Kong last year, this was when there was some flu bug going round and so i had to get checked up. During the checkup, there was one instrument the doctor had which i thought was to take a sample of blood, it wasn't until after that i realised its to take my tempreture, so when he put it against my forehead, i just froze thinking he knows what hes doing but also afraid of what the thing would do. Immediately after that, he takes my blood pressure which had shot up after that last test.

About four days ago, the symptoms returned, except way more mild than they were. They're still there and not so bad. I'm pretty sure it won't majorly flare up this time, but it's slightly annoying. Based on my research I have Pericoronitis.

Like the article says, it's likely to return unless you have your tooth extracted. Looks like I'm going to have to make an appointment with an oral surgeon and take care of this wisdom tooth once and for all. And after that, I'm going to be all effed up from having a tooth pulled, most likely. Happy days ahead : /

Look, I'll be honest with you. Its not so much the pain thats the biggest bitch about getting your tooth pulled. Honestly, by the time the drugs wear off, its more of a dull pain. However, the real pain you are going to have is jaw. Your jaw muscles are going to scream in protest if you so much think about moving them. If you are particularly unlucky, it will last for about a week. Eating will be next to impossible, you wont be able to open your mouth wide enough to pour ensure the first night. The worst for me was after I had a hardcore root canal, felt like my face was wired shut.
Also: Please have a conversation with someone immediately after the surgery, while you are still high as fuck. My friend had one with me, it consisted entirely of the letter I, with correct spacing, punctuation, capitalization and such. Bizarre.

I've never had a tooth pulled before. I've had fillings, a root canal, and a crown. I'll try to be ready for this, though. : p
I could wait and see if my wisdom tooth will fully come in. That will stop this problem from happening, but seeing as though I have no idea how long that will take, or if it'll even happen, that's not the best course of action.

'Tis nothing to be afraid of. I've had nine regular teeth pulled as they were baby teeth that weren't falling out on their own, and all four wisdom teeth removed two years ago because they were compacted. I also went through braces and retainers starting in grade school to junior high to get my teeth straightened and then once my braces came off I had to get surgery on my lower gums because they had receded under the brackets, so they took some gum from the inner upper right side of the roof of my mouth and stitched it onto my lower gums. I can honestly tell you that having braces is a lot more painful than getting wisdom teeth removed. Like Semianon said, it's the jaw pain that will be annoying. Even more annoying though was being hungry but having to take it easy on chewing. I had to stick to lots of jello and mashed potatoes, cream o' wheat, and soup for about a week or two.
Your mouth will feel SO much better with those wisdom teeth gone, and it sounds like your health vastly improve as well! If you just focus on that as your long-term goal, you can be ready for the surgery. You've survived major stuff like a root canal and a crown, you can handle this no problem.
