Diplo requested that a photo thread be brought back because of his nostalgia for skull_kid. I hope he sees this topic and posts accordingly.

The only photos of me are of the nude kind which some members have had permanently scarred into their brains, so here's some of the wacky shit I've been working on.

I'm going to break the mold here in this topic and actually post a picture of myself (get to it, beingthenagger)

Full photo of my profile picture here at the Chapel. I quite like it, despite being rather flat-chested there :\

A pic from... three weeks ago or something.

I swear my skin is not that pinkish in real life. Don't know what happened.

Edit: *Completely regrets about posting the picture, and kills himself.*

This thread needs more skull_kid. Also, I think you should go out of your way and paint the MiG-25. Your other planes make it look unfinished.

It is painted and finished. It's painted in AKAN's Faded MiG-25 Grey, which is what almost all MiG-25s (save for a few recon/Wild Weasel variants in east europe) were painted. I did no weathering because Belenko's foxbat was brand new; all photos show the aircraft to be in pristine condition, which is why it was such an important intelligence coup.

I was expecting the paint to dull out the somewhat shiny and clean texture of the plastic, but I suppose it can't be helped. Looking at the pictures again, I noticed that even the painted camo on the MiG-29 can't really mask that plastic-y feel. Such is the nature of plastic it seems.

Also, relevance:

That's me in last year's LA auto show, inside the chubby mass of a dodge challenger.

If you want a metal-looking finish, you have to work with diecast and that ain't my thang. *shrug*

Here's some closer shots:

It was utter heck trying to find shots of Yugoslavian SSR Fulcrum ground crew to see what their uniforms looked like. Turns out it was just olive green with khaki-ish vests and white or red helmets for the pilots.

The riveting on the MiG-31 comes out great with a wash of thinned oil paints.

Chrisy05, this is a better look at Belenko's Foxbat:

Posted Image

That's why many scale modellers give their Foxbats a very clean shiny look. Others will give their Foxbats a very washed-out appearance and really highlight the panel lines; these are usually based on photos of latter-day "tourist" two-seater Foxbats from Zhukovsky air force base, which were given less than stellar maintenance. Algerian Foxbats get pretty dusty and faded, and Azerbaijani Foxbats are very well-maintained and clean. Building one aircraft can get pretty complex when it comes to weathering. :/

I'm currently working on a 1/144 Iranian MiG-29, a 1/72 F-16, and a 1/72 Venezuelan Su-30.

Peklo you look as if you went from IMMORTAL to Pantera.
