2Dee2Doo's Castlevania: Moonlight Requiem
group of independent game developers called 2Dee2Doo are using the RPG Maker engine to create a platform Castlevania game titled Castlevania: Moonlight Requiem.
The story follows a girl named Jena Cross who lives in 17th century Europe. She is of half human half vampire descent and is an agent of a secret organization within the Church. When a solar eclipse lasts longer than it should, Jena is dispatched to London to investigate the phenomenon. Unfortunately, the plague is spreading through the area and plunging the city into chaos. From there the adventure begins.
This game incorporates the adventure gameplay seen in the Gameboy Advance and DS Castlevania games. The gameplay system will allow for different styles of combat -- witch mode and vampire mode. Vampire mode is more inclined toward melee tactics, whereas witch mode is good for spell casting. New skills can be learned from equipment. Having the right equipment for the right situation will be very important.
