This man speaks the thruth.

I agree with everything he said. It's true that sticking to the same Metroidvania formula, just for the sake of 2-D/new school fans, isolates the fans with an open mind when it comes to 3-D, and some old school fans. Besides, Metroidvania is becoming repetitive. I'm sorry, but recycling the same sprites, gameplay, and a formula from another game that was way far more superior *cough* Super Metroid *cough*, gets old pretty fast.

I'm also thrilled that this game is a reboot/rebirth of the series, and it's exactly what Castlevania needs. Now, concerning the 3-D titles, CoD had the best gameplay, IMO. LoI was awful with the real-time action screen, horrible camera angles, and poor level designs/length. So, I think CoD stands out from the 3-D titles, even though there are people who haven't played it because others have bashed it and choose not to themselves because of the fact.

And anyone doubting this game and it's success, seem to contradict themselves. When IGA took over, and changed the series' direction, no on was complaining, so why should that be the case now? It must be the same minority who clings to the Metroidvania formula. Also, people who are complaining about no Belmonts/VK whip, then why was no one complaining when Alucard and all those non-Belmont characters stole the spotlight, making the Belmonts background characters? Pure contradictory there. Oh, well. Like Dave said, simply don't buy the game!

Anyway, this interview was more than enough to make me extra hopeful, and erase any doubts I had previously thought. All I can say, is that I look forward to LoS, and can simply not wait till it's released this year.
